Community Sanitation Exercise at Borehole in Kawale 1 and Blantyre areas in Dzaleka Refugee Camp

On Monday 2 February 2026, the Family Health Promotion (FHP), a community-based organization located in Dzaleka Refugee Camp, Malawi, conducted a community sanitation exercise at two frequently used boreholes in Kwawale 1 and Blantyre areas.

The activity focused on improving hygiene and cleanliness around these important water sources, which are highly frequented by community members. Family Health Promotion volunteers worked to clean the surroundings, remove waste, and promote a safe and healthier environment for water collection.

This exercise took place shortly after a yard sweeping activity conducted in collaboration with WHH, which brought together key members of the team in promoting environmental cleanliness.

Through these activities, Family Health Promotion continues to demonstrate its commitment to improving public health, promoting hygiene, and encouraging community responsibility in maintaining clean water points and surrounding environments.
